Quitting Tobacco Is Not Hard
We have been programmed with the idea that quitting tobacco is one of the hardest addictions to master – harder, ‘they’ say, than heroin. Three critical ingredients help my smoking cessation therapy to be successful:
1 I was a smoker myself. As a college student, I had a three-pack-a-day habit. I quit several times over the following 40+ years. Each time my quitting was successful in that I managed to stay away from cigarettes for at least six months to ten years before I started again.
Fortunately for you, each time I quit I learned more strategies for successful quitting. It has been over ten years since I last smoked. I know that quitting tobacco is hard, but I also know from a lot of experience that quitting is not THAT hard. Just three difficult days, and then you are FREE. I will give you plenty of advice for making those three challenging days easier.
2 My second secret is the use of hypnotherapy. Hypnosis has been a proven adjunct for addiction recovery for many years. In the hyper-relaxed atmosphere of the hypnotic state, the mind and psyche are far more open to suggestion.
Sessions, therefore, can be geared toward repeating suggestions to make quitting easier and successful. In addition, hypnosis can help us to discover the parts of you that might be resistant to quitting and ways to overcome the resistance.
The effects of hypnosis are truly magical and difficult to explain rationally [see my hypnosis page]. The subconscious mind knows no difference between actual events and imaginary events. Thus, if you imagine yourself as a non-smoker, the subconscious begins to believe this as the truth.
Programming the subconscious with positive suggestions can add enormous strength to your resolve.
3 Finally, my last and most awesome secret is the correct use of the mind during the quitting process. Few people realize that it is essential to prepare the mind weeks or months in advance of quitting. This is a simple but highly effective process.
Have you found, perhaps, your day of quitting arrives and within hours it feels too hard–and all your plans and resolutions go up in smoke? Preparing the mind beforehand can overcome this all too familiar scenario.
Are You Ready to Quit?
I invite you to give me a call for your free one-hour consultation. If we agree to work together, I suggest a minimum of three hypnosis sessions before you quit.
In addition to the hypnosis, I offer myriad suggestions for making quitting easier as well as illuminating common pitfalls and how to avoid them. I also offer exercise and nutritional advice.
In addition, I will be available by phone for support during those all important three days when so many, despite their best intentions, fall back into their old habits.
After Quitting
After quitting I offer another hypnosis session for guarding against slips in the future and for celebrating your success!
I am open to doing this work with couples or groups of people. For instance, if you and your friend want to quit together, we can have all the sessions together and each of you will pay less!
You will feel better immediately.
I really enjoy helping people to get free of tobacco. The best part about this process is how you will feel after only one day without tobacco. After just four days, you will be amazed and delighted by how much better and more positive you feel.
In my experience, tobacco places a dark cloud over consciousness. When it lifts, it is an ecstatic sensation…well worth the three days of challenges!!!! This I can guarantee.
